Ben Hitchcock Joins TONO Group as Foreman and Carpenter

TONO Group, a multidisciplinary family of design and construction companies, welcomes Ben Hitchcock, who joins the team as a foreman and carpenter. Hitchcock brings a specialized skillset to TONO, furthering the firm’s commitment to innovative, high-quality craftsmanship in the architectural landscape.

Hitchcock has spent the last 15 years honing his skills, beginning his career in 2012 as a framer at Sandalwood Construction in North Carolina. He later moved to Christopher Robin Construction, also in the Outer Banks area, and advanced his career to lead framer and crew lead, where he managed a six-person crew, operated heavy machinery and installed siding and cedar, windows, doors and trusses. Most recently, Hitchcock has refined his woodworking skills as a subcontractor with Premier Coastal Contracting, where he showed his passion for precision crafting fireplace surrounds, handrails, stairs and decks, installing vanities, and finishing trim work.

At TONO Group, Hitchcock will continue applying his carpentry and supervisory skills, coordinating tasks, schedules, and resources, monitoring crew progress, and maintaining safety standards and quality control on sites. He’ll support supervisors as they coordinate priorities and plans, distribute general and daily responsibilities to teams, and act as a liaison between clients, TONO staff, and crews. Hitchcock will also help with site organization, material delivery and retrieval.

Outside of his professional life, Hitchcock and his wife, Kendall, enjoy exploring Lancaster with their three children. He is an avid photographer, hunter, and fisherman.
